PURE STOCK 8 RULES

SAFETY:

Track officials may inspect any car and equipment at any time for compliance. No radios or audible communication devices. No in-car lap timers.

No electronic enhancing devices-No traction control. No Rev limiters. No adjustable timing boxes.

All cars will have an extensive safety inspection before being allowed to race. Upon the first time, visiting track with a car that has not previously raced during current calendar year, please immediately bring car to the Tech inspection area and request an initial safety check. Please bring all required safety gear to be inspected at this time. This includes helmet, suit, gloves and any Head and Neck limiting devices.

All required safety equipment and apparel must be in use anytime car in on track and may be inspected at any time. Fire suit with SFI minimum rating of “1”. No holes or torn fire suits allowed. Fire resistant gloves and shoes must be worn at all times when car is on track. If caught without this will result in immediate disqualification.

A helmet with a minimum Snell rating of 2005 must be worn at all times when car is on track.

A minimum four-point roll cage is required. Must be steel tubing, a minimum of 1 ½” (1.50”) outside diameter with minimum of 0.095” wall thickness. No square tubing or galvanized pipe allowed. All rear and front roll cage tubes must sit on original frame. Front and rear down bars allowed. Minimum of 4 bars on driver’s side. 3 bars on passenger side. No exceptions.

It is required to have a .125” Steel plate covering driver’s door bars. May bolt or weld on.

Roll bar padding recommended around driver. All cars must have a fire extinguisher minimum 2 lbs. with a working and visible gauge securely mounted within easy reach of the driver. Complete fire suppression systems are recommended.

Window nets are required on the driver’s side of the car and must be securely mounted. Window net must be operational from inside and outside of the car. Drivers must be able to exit both sides of the car.

 

A single quick release 4-point harness (minimum 3” belts) dated 2015 or newer is required in all vehicles. All required belts must be in use anytime the car in on the track. Racing harness must be securely attached to the roll cage.

Drive shaft must be stock steel, painted white and include the car number. Drive shaft loop will be a 5” diameter steel loop.

1” wide and ¼” thick. It must be securely mounted to the frame.

All lead ballast must be painted with car number and secured with one ½” bolt per 50 lbs and (2) ½” bolts per 100lbs. If any weight falls off the car during competition, car is disqualified immediately, even if car still is over required weight.

It is your responsibility to make sure your ballast stays in your car for everyone’s safety.

Penalty weighs must be painted red. If any weight falls off your car on the track at any time you are immediately disqualified from the event.

All cars must have front and rear hook ups for towing. Must be able to support car.

If it’s not stated in the rules it doesn’t mean, it’s approved. Please consult with tech official for approval.

All tech decisions are final. The track reserves the right to add weight to any driver in the fairness of competition. You need to understand all safety requirements.

Track Management as well as the Tech official reserves the right to disqualify any car and/or driver that does not comply with all safety requirements. Competition will not and cannot come before safety.

 

 

CAR:

Any 1970 or newer American made production 2 or 4 door sedan.

The minimum wheelbase allowed is 101”, 1” tolerance, centerline of front wheels to centerline of rear wheels. NO TOLERANCE. Uni-body cars may be tied together.

Ride height will be as follows, 5” Inch minimum height at stock frame rails.

In case a frame issue comes up from a wreck, get with tech to see how or if the chassis is capable to be put back to be legal. No chopping, shortening, or channeling. No double frame.

Square tube (2 x 3 or 2 x 4) will be allowed to tie the front clip to the rear clip. No other mount, braces or brackets to be welded to or attached to the tubing.  No lead or anything to be bolted or attached to the tubing.  This is only for support from the front clip to the rear clip.

No plating. X bracing ok for place to mount drive shaft loop. May replace rear frame behind spring/shock mounts on coil cars or past center of rear end on leaf springs. 2”x2” or 2”x3” allowed.

No subcompact cars. No foreign convertibles, four-wheel drive or front wheel drive cars allowed.

 

 

WEIGHT:

3300 lbs. with original driver after completion. No burn off unless notified. Penalty weight will be added to total weight.

 

 

BODY:

Important: Review the image below for Rule clarification.   This is not a rule change.

 

This is a STOCK BODY Class-Must look as close to factory as possible. If it looks like a Street Stock/Hobby Stock you will be required to run with them. STOCK appearing!

Completely stock for year make and model. No modifications or alterations of any kind unless outlined below.

Stock body panels or self-made body panels aluminum or steel only that are as close to stock appearing as possible with no sharp edges or protrusions. May be replaced with .035 (20 gauge) magnetic steel or

.040 aluminum minimum. Stock OEM body parts are allowed, may be stock replacement aftermarket.

Hoods must have hood pins in front, hinges or hood pins at rear. Hoods must be a minimum of .035 (20 gauge) magnetic steel or .040 aluminum and stock appearing. No hood scoops. No air cleaners protruding through hood. No holes in hood (Except hood pins). All hoods must be at least 45” long and 55” wide-must be stock appearing and have no downward or sloping breaks/angles towards nose piece. No wide fender flares, skirts, or material. Keep it tight to fenders.

If any car has a hole in the hood this means that the body is not stock appearing or the engine has been moved from its stock location, therefore any hole in the hood other than hood pins will result in a 100 lb penalty.

Roofs may be .035 steel, fiberglass or .040 aluminum and must conform to stock size and dimensions. No flaring of bodies.  Must have body lines, no flat doors.

Side skirts may be (6) inch maximum height and run length of body from front wheel opening to rear wheel well. Rear quarters may not flare out, must not angle upward. Rear skirts must angle upwards towards deck lid. Needs to appear stock.  Three inch (3″) difference – see picture.

Any interior part that is flammable must be removed. Must retain rear wheel wells.

Left and right passenger doors may be gutted for roll bars. All exterior trim must be removed. Inner front fender panels may be removed. Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance.

Complete stock floor pan must be retained. No sheet metal floor pan. In case of repairing damaged, rusting, or rotted floor pan you must use .035(20 gauge) or heavier of stock floor pan.

No full decks from hood to rear. If no complete floor pan weight will be added accordingly.

Plastic stock appearing noses only. No slope or late model style noses. Must match original body. If none available, contact tech man for options (may run metric Monte Carlo nose on Malibu, Nova or most GM

 

products except for Camaro or Firebird. May run T-Bird or Mustang nose on any Ford Product. No sloped noses or late model style noses. Nose 6” inch minimum from ground.

Factory spoilers and side skirts are okay. 6” by 60” maximum after-market spoiler. No side spoilers. May run no more than (2) 1”x 1/8” forward braces.

Bumpers may be steel tubing with no sharp edges, corners, must be rounded. (Sharp edge rule will be strictly enforced-If it will cut tires you will be parked until fixed).

May have rub rails (one per side only) made of 1” round or square tubing, ends must be capped at a 45degree angle. Lexan style okay.

Trunk and fuel cell must be tightly sealed from the driver compartment. Trunk must retain stock dimensions and open.

May deck from behind driver seat to rear window. Rear spoiler, from deck height to top of spoiler must not exceed 6” at any angle.

All sheet metal, roof height, firewalls, floor pans, and body mounts must remain in stock location and dimensions.

Any car not conforming to track rules will have weight added and the amount will be determined by tech officials prior to racing.

 

CHASSIS & SUSPENSION:

All chassis, suspension, and steering components must be stock for year, make, and model unless otherwise noted. Quick release highly recommended. Quick steer ok. FRONT SUSPENSION: tubular upper A frames will be allowed any length, but from left to right must be within 1”. Example: front left upper A-frame 9” front right upper A-frame 8”. Caster and Camber may be adjusted with any length bolts. Stock unaltered lower control arms. Stock upper control arms may not be altered. Bushings may be steel, rubber or polyurethane-No monoballs or spherical bearings. Moog problem solver offset shaft is allowed on upper control arms. Upper and Lower ball joints must bolt and/or press in stock factory mounts with no alterations. Any length upper ball joint mounted in stock location will be allowed. Strut towers must remain stock and unaltered.

Sway bar may be removed. If the sway bar remains on car it must be mounted in stock mounts on chassis.

May run any length front spring with a minimum diameter of 5” mounted in stock location (if stock spring diameter is less than 5” consult with tech official). Spring rubbers are ok. Front spring buckets must be Steel Any length/Adjustable. Only one spring per wheel.

 

REAR SUSPENSION:

No weight lead or steel mounted on rear end.

Rear springs must stay vertical, centered over rear axle tube and in stock location, may use aftermarket perch in stock location only. Steel Non-Adjustable Any length rear buckets allowed-may use shims. Rear spring minimum diameter is 5”. No chains or limiting devices.  If any car has adjustable buckets, adjuster must be welded to make non-adjustable.

AFTER MARKET CONTROL ARMS WILL BE ALLOWED.

No hymes or adjustments on trailing arms. Left and right upper and lower must be same length. Mounts on rear-end housing will be 2 3/4″ inches with ½ inch of tolerance. Left and right must be the same.

Upper and lower trailing arms and mounting points must be stock and unaltered. Polyurethane bushings

Leaf springs may run aftermarket shackles and may be adjustable. No composite leaf springs. No Chrysler leafs. Lowering blocks may be run-No adjustable.

Cars with factory torque arms and panhard bars must stay completely stock, mounting points must remain in stock location, non-adjustable and unaltered.

 

SHOCKS:

ANY SHOCK ALTERED FROM ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS SPECIFICATION OR PRODUCTION WILL BE DEEMED ILLEGAL.

50/50 or split valve stock replacement shocks in factory stock location only. Shocks must mount as manufactured, by manufacturer without alteration to any part of shock (stud to stud, T-bar to T-bar). No adjustable shocks. No aluminum shock bodies.

SIMPLE SOLUTION: BUY A SHOCK, REMOVE FROM MANUFACTURERS BOX, BOLT IT ON

Must be steel, no welding, cutting, or grinding on any part of shock stem, body or mount. Shock manufacturer and part number must be legible for shock identification.

No bump stops on shocks. No bump springs on shocks. One spring per wheel. One shock per wheel. Shocks must be in factory stock location, bolted directly to frame or control arm with no spacers or extensions. “EXCEPTION”- You may run shock extensions on left rear ONLY. No coil overs. Shock claimer rule, $75 per shock and must forfeit own shocks. Driver claiming shock(s) must have finished on the lead lap, and directly behind the car that shocks are being claimed. Example: If you finish 3rd you can only claim the shocks on the car that finished 2nd. Claim and money must be presented to tech official within ten (10) minutes of race completion. Claimer must also bring car straight to tech after completion of race for exchange.

May run 3/4-inch spacer between shock mount on bottom right front A-Frame.

 

ENGINE:

Stock for make and model. GM350, Chrysler360, Ford351 MAX. Metric cars will be allowed 350 cubic inch engine.

Engine location in stock position for make and model in factory mounts. Engines must remain strictly stock as produced by manufacturer. No modifications of any kind unless outlined herein.

 

All internal components cannot exceed factory OEM specs. It is your responsibility to provide factory data to back up your specs and not the tracks. No high-performance parts of any kind unless noted otherwise herein.

No electronic enhancing devices-No traction control. No Rev limiters. No adjustable timing boxes The Markings on the front face of the counterweight of the cast replacement 350 crankshaft have been changed over the years.

9-10442R and 935010R are exactly the same crankshafts. You will notice the 522 mold number and the SCAT cast on the crank.

 

ROTATING ASSEMBLY:

Eagle Rods part # 5700 BPLW non-bushed or bushed. Scat Rods part # 3ICR5700 bushed or non-bushed.

Crankshaft OEM stock cast or forged. May balance on bottom of counterweights only. No grinding on any part of crankshaft. Must have a legible part number, if there is no part number it will be deemed illegal.

May use Eagle Crank part # 103503480 two piece or one piece. Scat crank shaft part # 9-10442 two piece or # 9-10526 one piece. 3.48” stroke only. 48 lb. cast crank. 51 lb. steel crank. No knife edge, may balance. Must be weighted with gear only.

OEM 4 eyebrow flat top pistons. Stock type replacement with stock type configuration, forged pistons ok.

May run 2 eyebrow flat top pistons with 72cc combustion chamber heads.

Piston must be stock appearing and in stock position. 3 Ring grooves, stock diameter wrist pins. Piston material must extend passed wrist pin boss. No drilling, cutting, or grinding on any part of piston. No gas porting.

Maximum overbore allowed is .060 + .010 for clearance. Piston must not protrude above cylinder deck surface.

 

If running any engine configuration other than Alltech rules, driver must claim what engine he or she is running prior to race. Weight will be added as stated in rules.

CAMSHAFT & LIFTERS:

GM .390/.410, Ford .425/.450, Dodge .390/.420, Pontiac .388/.424 maximum lift at valve. Hydraulic only. GM .425 max lift, no exceptions.

Camshaft may be degreed. May run comp #84000 lifters. Hydraulic flat tappet lifters only, No solid lifter. Must be stock OEM diameter lifters. No lash allowed.

Any 3-piece steel timing chain and gear set. Cam buttons approved. No gear drives. No 4-7 swap camshafts.

 

CYLINDER HEADS & VALVETRAIN:

GM Production Heads 70cc minimum with 4 eyebrow release pistons. 70cc head is acceptable for Ford Engine.

 

Must use stock valve size for cylinder head used. Maximum valve size 1.94 intake 1.50 exhaust. No 2.02 head. No Vortech. No closed chamber. No angle milling. No porting, No gasket matching.

Bronze guides okay. Stainless OEM stock replacement valves. Neck downs and swirl polished are ok.

1.270” O.D. maximum valve spring diameter. No beehive springs, No wedge, or taper springs. No dual valve springs.

OEM replacement valve spring retainers are ok. No light weight, aluminum, or titanium. Rocker arms 1.5 ratio stamped steel only. No other ratio, no roller tip, no roller body.

Screw in studs, guide plates, and poly locks are ok. 7/16 studs allowed.

No stud girdle. Absolutely untouched except for what is specified in the rules.

Lifter valley baffle and screens are okay. Push rods stock length and diameter. (7.800”) Hardened push rods approved.

 

CARBURETOR & INTAKE

GM factory OEM stock 2 or 4 Barrel Quadrajet (choke plate and shaft may be removed).

Or Holley 4412 500 cfm with 1.125” spacer including gaskets-no part of spacer may protrude into intake manifold. May remove choke plate and shaft, change jets, power valve and accelerator pump. Must pass track NO/Go gauge

Any air cleaner. No cold air boxes or devices to force air into carb.

Cast iron factory stock intake only. May run 2701 Edelbrock unaltered. No marine or bowtie intakes. No gasket matching, grinding, or porting.

 

IGNITION:

Battery must be self-contained and securely mounted in battery tray. 12v only. OEM points or HEI distributor only. May use billet distributor housing.

Distributor may be locked. May use curve kit. No printed circuit board modules. No Rev Limiter. May use aftermarket performance module.

Alternator is allowed.

No electronic enhancing devices-No traction control. No Rev limiters. No adjustable timing boxes.

 

TRANSMISSION & DRIVETRAIN:

May run Ford 9”. May be a floater. No Aluminum hubs, rotors, calipers, center sections, tubes, housings, yokes or spools. No cambered rear ends/tubes or crowned axles. No lockers, limited slip units or torque sensing differentials. Full spool or mini-spools only-must be steel. Full spools must have and use all 10 bolts on ring gear. No lightened or polished ring/pinions.

All mounts must be in stock location. On metric chassis lower control arm mounting holes may be no further that 2.75” below rear end tube and upper mounts must be no more than 7.75” from center of rear end tube/welded seam to mounting holes. Must be same on both sides, no staggering of mounts or mounting holes. Spring perches must mount in stock location. Metric rear ends must be within 58”- 60.5” and Camaro’s must be within 60”-62.5” (hub face to hub face). All others must be within 1” of stock width. Pinion must be centered-no offset rear ends.

May run Stock rear-end for make and model. Welded rear end is ok. Mini spool is ok. Full spool are ok.

7.5 C-Clip eliminator kit and after- market axles must be used (Mosier or equivalent). 8.5” GM 10 bolt rear ends are allowed in Metric Chassis-Must retain stock mounts.

Cast Iron Z-28 Flywheel is allowed. Minimum weight is 14lbs without bolts. No Aluminum-No Billet flywheels. May run Solid Steel Hub clutch disc-No Aluminum. Must be full circle-No Puck style.

Clutch assembly pressure plate must be steel. NO aluminum, titanium, or any exotic materials.

Must have Steel bellhousing with manual transmission-No exceptions.

All transmissions must retain all original working gears in operational condition-Both forward and reverse. No lightening or altering of any part of transmission.

Cars that did not come with a standard transmission can use a hydraulic clutch pedal, slave cylinder or release bearing.

Automatic transmissions allowed. Must have full working converter. No Direct drive or couplers. No Powerglides. Must have scatter shield.

Driveshaft must be stock steel and Painted white.

 

EXHAUST:

Stock OEM cast iron manifold or under chassis header with 3-inch collector (no Tri-Y or merge collectors.)

Mufflers allowed. Center dump manifolds ok without frame alteration.

 

FUELS:

No additives allowed. May run Pump gas or Racing gas. No E85. No Alcohol. No electric fuel pumps.

Must have Fuel cell must be in 18-gauge steel can and centered. Rollover valve recommended. Must be securely mounted with at least two 2” by 1/8” steel straps over top and underneath cell.

 

BRAKES:

Stock factory OEM 4 wheel working brakes only (caliper pistons must be the same size on each axle/end, and brake calipers must be stock cast iron). Brake pads type are optional. Dual master cylinders allowed with hanging pedals. No brake bias devices or adjustments accessible to driver, or from drivers compartment of any kind. May remove OEM proportioning valve. GM Cast iron single output master cylinder allowed. Rear disc brakes allowed. No aluminum, or light weight Calipers-Stock GM single piston type only. No aluminum rotor hats, steel only. No drilled, grooved, or scalloped rotors, No Aluminum, Titanium or Carbon Fiber Rotors.

 

WHEELS & TIRES:

Maximum 8” wide steel wheels. Minimum 7/16” studs with 1” steel lug nuts on all 4 wheels.

Hoosier H-500 will be allowed. Must run on all 4 corners. grooving and siping is ok.  NO TIRE PREP!

May use bead lock in any location. Wheel spacers allowed. Offset may be (2”, 3”,4”)

 

OPTIONAL:

Pulleys, oil pan (steel only), oil pump rod, engine fasteners, any manual fan, manual fuel pump, fuel pump rod (hollow ok), valve covers, air cleaner , motor mounts (block mount, no mid mounts), distributor cap, rotor, wires.

Aluminum radiator and water pumps are ok. Water only for coolant. No electric fans. Aftermarket power steering pump and engine cooler are ok.

Engine must be mounted in stock location. No tolerance.

May chain, strap, or use OEM replacement urethane motor mounts. May use stock location peg style mounts. Example ALLSTAR 38082

DISCLAIMER and PROTEST PROCEDURE: It is stated in the rules above what you can do to your car. Anything else will not be allowed! In other words, if it is not stated in the rules then it is not approved. Please consult tech man for certification only. If not in writing, no “he said/she said” is acceptable by management. All tech decisions are final and a disqualification means ALL money, prizes, and points are forfeited.

No grinding or defacing of any casting numbers. Any engine parts with missing or altered casting numbers are illegal regardless of the reason.

Tech inspector will weigh and inspect various parts of Top finishing cars every week after heats and features. A competitor may file a protest to further inspect cars and engines.

Chassis Protest: Tear down and inspection of Chassis and suspension (shocks, springs and all mounting points) will be $500(of which $100 will go to tech inspector.)

Built Engine Protest: Built Engine Protest: To pull a head, the protest will be $500 (of which $50 will go to the track. To pull an engine out to check the bottom end will be $1000 (of which $100 will go to the track).

All Protests must be Submitted to Tech Inspector at Scale Shed within 10 minutes of completion of feature. All Protest must be submitted in writing and have the cash in hand. All Counter Protest must be submitted in writing and with cash in hand with in 10 minutes of original protest.

Track officials and tech inspector reserve the right to inspect and teardown any car at any time. Management is committed to maintaining a fair and even playing field for all competitors and will consistently be researching and evaluating all facets of tech inspection.

 PURE STOCK FWD

All cars must be stock four cylinder front wheel drives with no more than 180 factory rated horse power.
No cars newer than 2019.
Original VIN number plate must be on car and be legible- car will not be permitted to race without
correct VIN plate.
The only modifications allowed in this division are to enhance driver safety. All other modifications to
cars are forbidden. All components must be stock and located in their stock location. Any altering,
moving, adjusting, or modifying on cars is forbidden.
1. ELIGIBILITY
This is an entry level division to introduce newcomers to the sport at a moderate expense level.
Those reaching a particular level of success will not be welcome in this division.
That includes drivers who have achieved any two of the following: over 25 feature wins, multiple track
championships, experience racing in a higher division.
This division is a novice division, and intended ONLY for those at that ability level.
2. ROLLCAGE
A. All cars must have a four point rollcage with three door bars on the left side and two door bars on
the right side.
B. All bars must be welded 360 degrees and gusseted. Roll cage must be securely fastened to the floor
via plating and gussets, or by constructing a box frame welded to the floor to serve as a
foundation for the roll cage.
C. Front bars must follow the contour of the windshield.
D. All tubing must be a minimum of 1 1/2"x .095".
E. Driver must have 2" of clearance above helmeted head.
3. BODY
A. Windshield must be removed and replaced with a full screen with two 2" x 1/8" straps in center.
B. All glass and plastic must be removed.
C. All doors and trunks must be bolted or welded shut. Front hood pins are recommended.
D. Numbering must be legible, highly visible and contrasting to car. Numbers must be 18" high. Any
letters must be 9" high. Numbers must be easy to read.
E. Body must remain stock. No body altering or non-factory spoilers.
F. Must have front and rear tow hook capable of supporting the weight of the car. ($25 fine if car has to
be towed and tow hook is missing.)
4. INTERIOR
A. All interiors must be removed except for the dash which is optional.
B. Bars within drivers reach must be padded.
C. No metal panels may be removed.
D. All holes in firewall must be covered with metal.
E. No boxing of interior
F. No rearview mirrors allowed.
5. ENGINE
A. Four cylinder, non-turbo engine.
B. No VTEC Motors permitted.
C. Engine size and model must have been available as original factory option for that car. No swapping
of engine makes. i.e. Acura to Honda, etc.
D. Must use stock exhaust manifold.
E. Batteries can be relocated to the rear of the car (but in front of the rear axle), but must be enclosed
and sealed in a steel battery box. The battery box must be securely mounted to the floor.
F. Engine and all components must remain stock. Engine mounts can be reinforced but must remain
with the stock rubber and must function as stock. No solid mounting.
6. SUSPENSION
A. No altering of any suspension components.
B. All parts must remain stock, and in factory location.
C. All parts and components must be in good condition.
7. BRAKES
A. All four wheels must have properly operating breaks.
B. No three wheel setups or modifications.
8. WHEELS AND TIRES
A. 13" or 14" wheels only. 15" wheels will be acceptable if it was a factory size for the model being run.
B. Steel wheels only. All four wheels must be the same.
C. Right front wheel may be reinforced but stock dimensions may not be changed.
D. Must have oversize lug nuts.
E. Tires must be DOT approved.
F. No winter or rough tread tires.
G. No grooving or altering of tires.
H. All four tires must be the same size
9. WEIGHT
A. Minimum total wait for all cars is 2500 lbs.
B. Weight is measured with driver & all safety equipment after the race. Track scales are final.
C. Maximum amount of weight on the left side is 55%
D. After fourth feature win, 50 lbs. weight will be added for each succeeding feature win. That weight
must remain for the remainder of the season.
E. Any added weight must be clearly marked and secured. Location of weight to be determined by the
tech inspector
10. SAFETY
A. Must have an aluminum racing seat with head rest.
B. Must have a five point quick release racing harness. Harness must be snell approved and no older
than three years. Harness must be securely attached.
C. Approved firesuit, socks and gloves are mandatory. Fireproof hood and shoes are recommended.
D. Full face helmet with Lexan shield snell 05 or newer is mandatory.
E. Window net with latches accessible from outside the car is mandatory. F. Fire extinguisher, within
reach of the driver and safely mounted is mandatory.
G. Must have a collapsible steering shaft (from factory).
H. Removable steering wheel is mandatory. Wheel must have a racing quick release.
I. Recommended that driver’s door bar be plated with 1/8" aluminum or steel.
J. Fuel cells are recommended but if not used, fuel tank must have a skid plate.
K. If stock fuel tank is used stock fuel pump must be used. If fuel cell is used only one fuel pump
producing stock fuel pressure may be used.
M. Any car may be refused the opportunity to race if safety equipment is deemed unsafe.
11. CAR CLAIM
A. After its FOURTH win of the year, the feature winning car may be claimed for $1500.00
B. Any car may be claimed by the speedway at any time.
C. Claim must be made no longer than ten minutes after the feature race.
D. Driver making claim must have finished in the top five of the feature.
E. Claims carry a $300.00 supervisor’s fee that is non-refundable regardless of outcome of claim. Total
claim amount must be given to track official at time of claim.
F. Competitor must forfeit their car, as it was when the race finished. Only safety items (seat, belts,
window net, and fire extinguisher) may be removed.
G. If competitor refuses the claim, claimed car will be disqualified, and will not be permitted to race the
following four events. ($300.00 fee will not be refunded)
12. TECHNICAL PROCEDURES
A. Any competing car must be presented to the tech man or tech area upon request. Only the driver
or some competent official may accompany the car during the procedure.
B. No feature will be declared official until the tech man is satisfied.
C. All technical protests must be made with the tech official within ten minutes of the completion of
the race. The winner is the only car who may be protested- In order to make a protest against the
winner; the protesting car must have finished in the top five and on the lead lap.
D. Any protests must be made to the proper official in an orderly and dignified manner. Protests of
the winner will be allowed only if presented coherently and as the tech team sees fit. In the event of
multiple protests we will determine the order of importance and select which if any we choose to omit.
E. Fees: Protesting car must put up a $200 nonrefundable supervisory fee, additional items include
$200 to pump engine, $250 per part protested, $500 to remove head, $1500 for complete tear down.
F. Any other violation found during the inspection that was not part of the protest will still result in
disqualification.
13. PENALTIES
The technical rules contained here have been assembled with great concern toward maximizing
competition and minimizing costs. Rule violations will not be tolerated. Major violations will result in
disqualification, loss of points, and prize money earned. Depending on the severity and the intent of the
violation, there could be a suspension from future racing activity at the speedway. Minor violations will
be considered major if they are not corrected in the grace period allowed by the tech team. Any car
must be presented for the scrutiny of the tech man at our request, and results will not be considered
official until we are satisfied. Any claiming must be done in an orderly manner, in cash, and under the
conditions previously specified. If at any time the conduct of any team member, driver or associate
becomes a discredit to the speedway, the sport, or himself, they will be removed from all racing activity
at the track. Owners/ drivers are responsible for the behavior of all individuals associated with the car
and may suffer similarly. These rules have been designed to facilitate the orderly conduct of and
establish minimum or maximum requirements for the events. No express or implied warranty of safety
shall result from publication or compliance with these regulations. Management is empowered to, at
their discretion, deviate from specifications described herein. Management reserves the right to update
these regulations at their discretion, in the interest of cost, safety, or fairness. Management’s
interpretation of these regulations will always be considered final.
Management has the right to confiscate any part deemed to be in violation of the technical
rules. Any driver/ car found to be in violation of any technical/ procedural rules can have their racing
privileges revoked for any length of time deemed appropriate by management.
PURE STOCK 4
1. ENGINE AND COMPONENTS original manufacturer parts for specific make and
model. THE ONLY MODIFICATION allowed to an engine are listed in the
following paragraphs. Any other modifications will be deemed illegal.
2. Engine must be in its original mount and position. NO MOTOR MIX/MATCH a)
Solid motor mounts are allowed in its original
3. No rotary engines. No turbo or super charged engines. No high-performance
engines or cars. Example: Porsche will not be legal and not intended for this
class.
4. No porting and/or polishing of head and/or manifold. Head may be resurfaced
Head and manifold must be stock. Head port casting must be able to be seen
and or felt or it will be considered illegal. After market intake manifolds are
permitted.
5. Replacement pulleys for water pump and power steering may be used.
6. Maximum compression ratio 10 to 1. (for grandfather cars only, all others to be
stock)
7. Pistons must be stock type and profile with stock wrist pin height. No dome or
pop-ups.
8. Up to 500 cfm carburetor or factory stock fuel injection. If carburetor is used in
place of factory fuel injection, maximum of (1) inch spacer. No modifications to
carburetor allowed except removal of choke assembly. (Applies to grandfathered
cars only) add must Be stock fuel delivery system. a) Stock fuel injection for
all others.
9. No aftermarket distributors and/or distributor parts. No aftermarket electronic
computers and/or components in ignition. Ignition must be stock for make of
engine. Example: Toyota for Toyota, Ford for Ford. a) Fuel injection must be
stock for vehicle running.
10. Electric fuel pumps are allowed and must shut off with ignition switch.
11. No aluminum flywheels. No flex plates. Single disc, stock style clutch and
pressure plate. No ram clutches.
SECTION B-1: FIREWALLS, FUEL LINES AND FUEL PUMPS
1. Fire Walls:
A. All vehicles shall have a permanent fire wall between driver, fuel supply
and
motor.
2. Fuel Lines and Pump:
A. Fuel pump or fuel line is prohibited in the drivers compartment unless
properly shielded. The shielding for fuel lines shall consist of steel braided
material, or blue poly, socket less fittings. Fuel pumps in driver
compartment must be properly shielded to prevent leakage in the event of
damage or breakage of pump or lines.
B. Fuel lines must be more than (3) three inches from headers, unless
shielded by metal.
C. Fuel shut off mandatory within easy access to the driver, conspicuously
marked with bright orange paint and labeled ON AND OFF.
3. Ignition Switch:
A. All vehicles must have an ignition switch within easy access to driver
in drivers compartment and clearly marked.
SECTION B-2: BODY, CHASSIS, AND DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
1. Roll Cage Requirements:
A. Any four-cylinder front or rear wheel drive. No convertibles, four-wheel
drive or jeep type vehicles.
B. Roll cage must be welded securely to frame using a six-post design. Vehicles
using a uni-body construction must install a 6-inch by 6 inches by 1/4-inch-
thick base plate affixed to outer flooring of the car roll cage must be welded
to floor of car.
C. Rear roll cage hoop must be 6 inches behind the driver’s head and 3inches
minimum above the driver’s head. There must be a minimum of 2 horizontal
bars connecting front and rear roll cage hoops and be a minimum of 3
inches above the driver’s head
A (seated in car with helmet on.) Roll cage must extend from windshield to rear of
drivers compartment with a loop at the front and rear. a (1) inch or better pipe
placed at the center of the windshield. Two bars may be added from top of cage
to rear of car (not to be attached to bumper). You may also run two
bars from dash area to front in line with frame rails but end 6 inches
before front bumper.
E. Uni-body cars are allowed frame bracing but no cross bracing.
F. Driver side must have three or more horizontal bars in door area. Passenger
side must have two or more. A 1/4- inch steel plate may be installed from
bottom side. Roll cage to be to rocker panel below rear of seat forward.
G. All roll cages must be of construction and quality to afford driver maximum
protection against injury. Petty bars recommended.
I. Roll cages must be a minimum of 11⁄2 inch O.D-.095 wall tubing.
2. Body Requirements:
A. No shortening allowed. Interior skin may be removed. Opening of wheel
moldings allowed as desired. Car must not appear as a sheet metal box.
B. If roofs are removed for roll cage installation, they must be reattached in stock
form and location.
C. Trunk and hood lids may also be stripped.
D. Hoods must have an opening to expose the carburetor for
firefighting purposes.
E. Hoods must be kept in place by secure quick release pins.
F. ALL DOORS MUST BE WELDED, CHAINED OR BOLTED SHUT
G. All glass and lights must be removed. All open exterior holes must be covered
after lights are removed.
H. No aftermarket spoilers of any type
I. Stock metal only. Reproduction fenders and doors may be used. Must
look stock.
J. No fiberglass bumpers.
Both bumpers must be securely fastened to vehicle or welded solid to
chassis. L) Bumpers must contain an easy, visible and accessible way to be
hooked and towed off the track. NO SHARP EDGES.
L. Suspension Requirements:
No racing adjustable shocks.
Only rubber spacers permitted. No other spacers (i.e. lumber, metal chains
etc.) may be used to alter the suspension of the car.
Screw adjustment allowed on rear springs of car. Tubing and Heim ends
may be used as replacement parts, stock dimensions
No cutting of suspension except for top of strut tower. Shifting of strut is
permitted as it stays within the original strut tower.
Steering quickener allowed.
M. Interiors:
All seat cushions must be removed.
Rear seat shelf must remain in vehicle.
The stock floor pan, firewalls, trunk, trunk floor and wheel wells must be retained
No built-up interiors of any kind.
No mirrors
All holes in firewalls and floors must be filled in with at least 20-gauge steel
Windshield area must have heavy screen, no chicken wire.
No plexiglass anywhere on the body.
N. Tires and Wheels:
All wheels must be reinforced to prevent their loss.
Any street legal tire with a maximum tread width of 8 inches is permitted.
8-inch wide maximum steel wheels.
No aluminum, or carbon fiber, trick, die cast wheels allowed.
Bead locks allowed.
F. Tire grooving is permitted.
G. No broken or missing lug nuts.
H. Any offset rim is allowed, all 4 rims do NOT have to be the same offset.
I. No dzuz button wheel covers
J. NO SNOW TIRES
6. Drive Train:
A. Stock transaxle, rear, clutch assembly, and flywheel only.
B. Stock drive train only.
C. Spools permitted.
D. Automatics must have working torque converter-may be locked.
7. Air Cleaners:
A. Any air cleaner system permitted as long as it’s not air induction.
B. Air cleaning system must be kept in engine compartment.
8. Brakes:
A. Stock brakes in stock mounting position.
B. Both back brakes and at least one front brake must be working always.
C. No aftermarket proportioning of valves permitted
9. Drivers:
A. All drivers must be at least 16 years of age.
B. All drivers must have fire resistant underwear, gloves, shoes, and a one-piece
fire suit.
C. All drivers must have neck brace and driver side window netting.
D. all drivers are required to
wear a full-face helmet meeting Snell specification SA2015 or newer.
10. Batteries:
A. Batteries in driver’s compartment shall be secured and shielded to prevent
leakage in the event of a turnover.
B. Battery shall have a marine style box cover secured to the metal box as to not
allow movement of the battery.
C. Batteries located adjacent to the fuel supply of the vehicle must be secured in a
metal box bolted to the frame of the vehicle by at least four 3/8-inch line bolts
and in such a manner to apply maximum pressure against the metal box to the
frame.
D. Batteries located in any other area not specified shall be secured and shielded
to prevent leakage in the event of damage or turnover.
11. Seats:
B. Seat shall be attached to the frame with at least 4 three-line 5/16-inch belts.
Two bolts shall be installed at the bottom of the seat not more than three inches
from the outside edge and two bolts shall be installed at the two most practical
widely spaced points at the top of the seat back.
C. Vehicles with metal seats do not require straps but do require large washers at
each bolt.
D. Straps must be 2 inches wide and 1/8-inch-thick connection each set of bolts
on fiberglass seats.
E. Seats must be mounted in front of doorpost and to the left side of the drive
shaft tunnel.
12. Safety Belts:
A. Quick release type five-point harness ONLY.
B. All connections are to be secured at frame.
C. Shoulder harness must pass over a round bar located at the driver shoulder
height.
D. No alterations to manufacturers design.
E. All belts must be in good condition and bear the date and manufacturer name.
F. Date of manufacture cannot be more than 2 years.
13. Exhaust System:
A. The outlet for the exhaust system shall be outside of vehicle and extend past
the driver’s door.
B. Exhaust flow must be directed out and away from driver.
C. Stock or racing type muffler.
D. Factory exhaust manifolds or tubular headers are permitted.
14. Fuel Tanks:
A. Fuel cell tanks commercially manufactured.
B. Cells must hold no more than 4.99 gallons without rubber bladder.
C. Maximum of 15 gallons with rubber bladder.
D. Fuel tanks must be secured with three 1 inch wide 1/8-inch-thick metal straps
that shall be bolted to the frame of the vehicle by at least two 3/8-inch three-line
bolts and angled so it goes around the cell, except for the bottom, so as to
apply maximum pressure against the tank to the frame.
E. X type framework must be under tank.
F. A reinforcing member of the SAME kind and size material as that used in the
roll cage of the chassis shall be installed to the rear of the fuel tank joining the
rearmost portion of the chassis to afford maximum protection to the tank.
15. Window Nets:
A. Must be used on the driver’s side.
16. Steering Wheels:
A. Padded center. Quick release pull pin type recommended.
B. Helmets SNELL 2015 minimum.
17. Fuel:
A. No performance enhancing products can be added to the fuel. (Thermal
charged, nitrated fuels, oxygen induced chemicals or oxides.)
B. Anyone using these additives will be fined $250.00 have all points taken away
and suspended for three (3) race events.
18. Water Overflow and Reservoirs:
A. Cannot be mounted in driver’s compartment.
19. Drive Shafts:
A. The drive shaft must be enclosed and secured front and rear by a 1/4-inch thick
by 1 inch wide, a rod, or one-inch steel tubing with .06 wall thickness.
20. Claiming Rules:
There will be a claiming rule in effect for all competitors. Any car that wins may
have it engine, less headers and electronics claimed by the driver of another
car finishing in one of the top 10 positions. The claiming price will be $1000.00
(one thousand) in cash. If the owner of the engine being claimed does not
accept the $1000.00, he does not get paid for any position and loses points. All
claiming must be done within 10 minutes of the completion of the event and
submitted to the pit shack in writing.
In case of duplicate claims, the claim will go to the car finishing furthest back.
No one driver can claim an engine from the same owner more than once during
the same season.
All cars using a single camshaft engine shall weigh 2400lbs
All cars using a Dual camshaft engine shall weigh 2500lbs
All Honda powered cars using the Honda V-tec engine shall weigh 2600lbs
All weights will be measured with the driver at the completion of all qualifying
races and the feature event.
21. Tow Hooks:
A. Two tow hooks installed front and rear of car.
On occasion, situations may arise that are not covered in this rule package ALL rulings
and interpretations of the rules included herein will be made by Track Management
and/or Officials. Such rulings and interpretations shall be deemed final.
